Pokemon Black and Blue, Are You Insane PETA?

I posted this on Wan Abrar yesterday and thought I would post it here too for all your enjoyment.

Does anybody need a break from whatever they are doing?  Maybe you are at work bored to death in a cubicle, maybe you’re at school bored to death staring at a PowerPoint, or maybe you are like me bored to death trying to study for your University Mid-term Biology exam.  Don’t fret because thanks to PETA you have a new computer game to play; Pokémon Black & Blue.  For those don’t know PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.  They are a borderline eco-terrorist group that attempts to “save” animals by doing ridiculous stunts and protesting some really dumb things.  I call PETA an eco-terrorist group even though I am a hardcore vegetarian who does not condone violence against animals.  I am not saying all PETA is bad but throwing paint on fashion stars, staging public nudity in cages and protesting Nintendo characters is not a proper use of their money.

The highly anticipated release of Pokémon Black and White 2 in the United States was this weekend.  PETA decided to capitalize off of Pokémon’s success by releasing Pokémon Black and Blue on their website for free.  You play as Pikachu, Snivey, Tepig and Oshawhatt fighting against other Pokémon trainers for freedom.  The Pokémon are depicted as injured, some have bruises/scars while other have needles sticking out of them.  The Pokémon trainers are portrayed as bloodthirsty slave drivers whom use weapons as cleavers and bats to beat their Pokémon.  They also have Pokémon say they believe in team Galactic, the bad guys from Black and White one who wanted to free all the Pokémon to rule the world.

Here was PETA said on their website.  “The amount of time that Pokémon spend stuffed in pokéballs is akin to how elephants are chained up in train carts, waiting to be let out to “perform” in circuses. But the difference between real life and this fictional world full of organized animal fighting is that Pokémon games paint rosy pictures of things that are actually horrible.”

I feel as if PETA missed the point.  Pokémon does not condone violence.  Pokémon is about teamwork and friendship not the mistreatment of Pokémon.  When the subject of mistreatment of Pokémon comes up within the Anime and the games, the characters work hard together to abolish abuse of Pokémon.  Unfortunately Pokémon are not REAL.  PETA should spend their time focusing on REAL things.  Spend your money on spreading awareness about REAL animal fighting and don’t pick on a f*cking Nintendo game.  PETA you suck.  This is the reason I will never give you donations, I would rather give money to WWF and Animals Shelters and not your stupid organization.

Yet again I do not condone violence against animals.  I have been a vegetarian 4 years.  Despite this I do not condone the actions of PETA.

If you want to play this game you can play it right HERE.  I hate to say the game is pretty fun but extremely misguided.  PETA will never stop me from playing Pokémon.  I can’t wait to run to the closest GameStop and pick up a copy of Pokémon White 2.

LOL this game is amazing ‘instead of using pokemon try human performers instead’ this makes me have faith in the ignorance of PETA. also, all PETA members should know using the protein-shake up move (pardon my language, wtf?) is best to fight against all enemies!

    A random guy mocks.

Also, try Cooking Mama, Mama kills Animals, it’s just slightly more ludicrous.

    hypes a random guy
