Sword Art Online episode 3 went by so fast.  When the episode ended I thought it had another 10 minutes left.  Episode 3 was very emotional, it made my eyes a little sweaty but no I didn’t cry.  Bring it Sword Art Online I dare you to find a way to make me cry; still no anime has ever made me do that.  The episode starts with another time skip, 4 months after the events of episode 2.  There is no sign of Asuna or any of the other guys who helped clear the first floor.  Kirito gets invited to join the Moonlit Black Cats, a guild of fairly low levels.  They are nothing special but they are group of nice guys and a gal.  I was glad at first that Kirito decided to make some friends; he really shouldn’t be going at this alone.  It too bad what happened to everyone.  (more…)

Great second episode of Sword Art Online, this show could really turn into something.  Episode 2 as you probably know takes place a month after the events of episode 1.  20% of all the players in the game are dead, dead in Sword Art Online and dead in real life.  I bet most of the in-game characters are being super careful and barely training at all.  With my life on the line I would probably stay at the nice inn Asuna was talking about.  Maybe I would make a few friends and just spend our lives in level one, it is better than dying prematurely in my opinion. I am a little pressed for time so I am going to make this real quick.  I have read a little bit of shit talking about Tari Tari on the Internet but I think you haters are wrong.  Maybe the pacing felt a little weird in this episode but haters don’t call this show bland…it is so cute.  It is going to turn into such a little heart-warming series.  Also it written a lot better than some of P.A. Works other series, cough cough Another. (more…)

All of these were written for WanAbrar.  I am compiling them here just so I have them.  Enjoy!

Episode 11

I really liked the scene with Yukko and Teiichi talking to each other over the notebook.  The flowers were a nice artistic touch.  The talking over the notebooks was able to convey the atmosphere of the episode perfectly.  You could tell how lonely both the characters are and how much they miss each other.  It was very cute when Yukko traced her hand so Teiichi could touch it.  Yuuko is not able to see and touch Teiichi during this scene but that doesn’t mean they can’t continue to have the same relationship they always had.  I really loved this scene…well until Yukko started to freak out and left. I have to be honest with you guys, this episode was a complete and total disappointment. Through out the vast majority of the episode Felicita, Liberta, and Nova were trying reunite a very cute kitten with its owner. These episodes can be done tastefully, in which there is palpable character, and plot development. In this episode there was neither. In the very beginning there was a flashback to when Felicita first joined the Arcana Famiglia, and how she became head of the sector known as “Sword.” It was a useless and pointless scene, and that is coming from a person who actually likes flashbacks. Ok, so I’m really exited about Sword Art Online, but Xana is reviewing it for the site, so instead of a regular review, I will be choosing a quote from a show that I really enjoy (Dexter, Homeland, Friends, you get the idea), and using that quote to kinda explain the episode.

Sword Art Online episode 1

You seem uncertain. It’s uncomfortable, isn’t it? Just when you think you’ve answered all the questions, another one smacks you in the face. Life, life, life. Life is just like that. Which is why I prefer death.” –Dexter from Dexter

Please tell me what you think!

Because of Sword Art Online I will never play a video game where I am transported into a game, or a VRMMORPG as they call it.  That freaks me out; I don’t want to die in a video game, which is just ridiculous.  Okay, it is time for the synopsis of the series!

The only way to escape is to ‘clear’ the game. Death in game means actual death.  The ten thousand who have logged onto the as of yet mysterious game ‘Sword Art Online’ using their Nerve Gear have been forced into this perilous death game and are trapped inside.  Protagonist Kirito, one of the many gamers, has greeted this ‘truth’.  He plays as a solo player in the giant castle that is the stage for this game ‘Aincrad’.  To meet the conditions of clearing the game and leaving this twisted virtual world, he must get through all 100 floors. Will Kirito have what it takes to clear the game, or will he die trying? (MyAnimeList) (more…)
